The Mission
Our mission is to provide an interdisciplinary exhibition space to display challenging concepts in the visual and performing arts.
It is an exhilarating, watershed moment to be involved in the arts in Portland. Unprecedented growth—from the Modern Zoo and Core Sample to PICA's TBA festival, from the Affair at the Jupiter Hotel and the Cooley Gallery at Reed College to the Portland Art Museum's North Wing—has the city abuzz with possibility. Building on this momentum, Disjecta seeks to create an arts epicenter by launching its new interdisciplinary arts facility in the Templeton Building and creating a beacon on the inner-Eastside for the visual and performing arts.

Performance Works NorthWest is a performing arts non-profit and the parent organization of Linda Austin & Dancers.
Our mission is to advance the contemporary performing arts in the Pacific Northwest. We achieve this by creating and performing works by our own company, presenting the work of other artists and by providing the community with an inexpensive space for rehearsal, workshops and other events.
Ongoing programs include:
Cabaret Boris & Natasha,
an eclectic mix of dance, music, performance art, theatre, and general revelry
Holy Goats! Sunday Afternoon Improvisations
an almost-monthly series devoted to experiments in dance and music improvisation.
