Red76
Begun in January of 2000 in Portland, Oregon Red76 is the moniker for collaboratively based projects conceived, most often, by Sam Gould, and fleshed out by a group of like minded artists and thinkers usually consisting, but not limited to, Matthew Yake, Khris Soden, Paige Saez, Jen Rhoads, Laura Baldwin and others. Since it's inception Red76 has gone from organizing underground art parties that lasted all night and into the morning to facilitating the implementation and construction of an archive of impromptu drawings of the hopes and thoughts of close to 2000 New Yorker's at New York's Drawing Center and the subsequent distribution of over 11,000 multiples back onto the streets of New York in the form of books, stickers, door hangers, matches, and much more. Since its start in early 2000 Red76 has created well over 50 projects, large and small, that have been realized in Portland, North America, and Internationally.
