Peripheral Produce’s Sixth Annual Portland Documentary and eXperimental Film Festival is now accepting submissions for its five-day exposition taking place April 25-29, 2007.
The PDX FEST is dedicated to showcasing new and innovative work in film and video from around the world. We are looking for artistic, underground, quirky and challenging work that that
goes against the grain of mainstream entertainment.
Categories include: experimental, documentary, and underground.
Work of all lengths will be considered. Exhibition formats include 35mm, 16mm, Beta SP, and DV. Live, multi-media and performance-based works with a film or video emphasis are also encouraged to submit.

Verifier will feature 11 images by David Hilliard ranging from early classic pieces (The Lucky Coin) to recent work such as "The Favorite" that signals a new direction for Hilliard where he is combining his signature multi-image approach to more spontaneous subject matter.
David Hilliard has exhibited his photographs world-wide. His work is in the permanent collections of the Whitney Museum, the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art and the Boston Museum of Fine Arts among others. Mr. Hilliard is a professor at Yale University as well as the recipient of a Guggenheim fellowship.

Constructed from over 1500 handcrafted wood and mixed media sculptures, Pfeifer’s installation literally comprises a swarm of “lovebugs.” Individual pieces of the installation will be available for sale during the exhibition, which doubles as a fundraiser to benefit the capital campaign for Contemporary Crafts Museum & Gallery.

Guidelines for Installation Proposals:
All installations should have video and/or film components. We may also include a monitor or two of single channel works so feel free to submit those as well.
Send the following on DVD or CD:
1. Work samples
2. A proposal for the installation in pdf or word format.* Include space and equipment requirements. Keep in mind that while we will try to help with some equipment needs, artists are expected to be self-sufficient.

From January 19 to February 24, the Bullseye Gallery will dedicate the
front exhibition area of its Pearl District gallery to telling the story of a unique collaboration: Gerding/Edlen Development, GBD Architects, Bullseye Glass Company and local artists working together to integrate glass and art into the architecture of GED's 16-story quarter-block condominium tower, The Casey, that is rising immediately to the east of the gallery - as the glass artwork "cooks" in Bullseye's factory kilns across the river.

Verifier will feature 11 images by David Hilliard ranging from early classic pieces (The Lucky Coin) to recent work such as "The Favorite" that signals a new direction for Hilliard where he is combining his signature multi-image approach to more spontaneous subject matter.
David Hilliard has exhibited his photographs world-wide. His work is in the permanent collections of the Whitney Museum, the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art and the Boston Museum of Fine Arts among others. Mr. Hilliard is a professor at Yale University as well as the recipient of a Guggenheim fellowship.

Constructed from over 1500 handcrafted wood and mixed media sculptures, Pfeifer’s installation literally comprises a swarm of “lovebugs.” Individual pieces of the installation will be available for sale during the exhibition, which doubles as a fundraiser to benefit the capital campaign for Contemporary Crafts Museum & Gallery.
