2 - 4 Viktor Popovic PICA Artist in Residence, Viktor Popovic exhibits a temporary installation in collaboration with Portland Art Center. Popovic’s temporal, glowing installation of chairs has been culled for the exhibit from people he has encountered during his residency. The delicately orchestrated pile reflects the aura of its owners. Popovic uses light, found and industrial materials to construct his piece about contemplation. Recently featured in the Triennial of Croatian Sculpture in Zagreb, Croatia, Popovic is one of the most important emerging artists in this region. |

29 - December 23 Yoshihiro Kitai Courtesy of the Artist and Pulliam Deffenbaugh Gallery Organized by Jeanine Jablonski "Bird’s eye views using metal leafing clouds are often found in traditional Japanese works. I exaggerate cloud shapes more and combine with dots. It is this unity of Japanese elements with a western style of art making that represents my position in the United States. “ - Yoshihiro Kitai |
