Hexasion | Jason Frank and Andy Brown
compilation of works from the first Hexasion that occurred in February of 2006.

Hexasion is a new, periodic event at Portland Art Center that allows attendees to experience presentations of unique, ambient and experimental audio and/or visual compositions by local and international artists in a comfortable, stimulating environment.

Rota Mineola | Sara Gunderson and Adam Bailey
A silent video installation

Bourne out of curiosity and intrigue, the video piece is a reflection of Gunderson and Bailey’s experience at the Oaks Park Skate Rink. The composition uses many layers of video to reflect the infatuation for the hundred-year-old park.

Eclipse | David Abel and John Berendzen
Eclipse is a 10-channel sound installation that combines the written and vocal work of poet David Abel with the harmonic and spatial treatment of composer and electronic sound designer John Berendzen

Circus Me A Round | Seth Nehil and Linda Austin
Choreographer and dancer Linda Austin has collaborated with composer Seth Nehil to create a sculptural translation of Austin's dance "Circus Me Around". This version of the work disembodies the dancer through multiple overlapping perspectives. Five iterations of the same dance are layered, surrounding the viewer with multi-channel sound and video, expanding the stage set and de-centering narrative with a series of fleeting impressions.

The Portland Catacombs transformed the entire Portland Art Center including the Light & Sound Gallery into an interactive performance based installation.
