Sculptural Installation

A clan of hyenas pause in the unsettling space, their eyes illuminated in the surrounding darkness. These predators are insidious hunters and diligent killers, wanting to feed. As they prepare for their prey, we realize who they’re waiting for: us. Working with emotions such as pain, fear, separation and repression; Jackson exhibits an installation of exquisitely crafted hyenas lingering in the darkness. Captivated by the hierarchies of the animal world, Jackson contemplates the roles of both predator and prey seeking to question and remind us of our primal, mortal nature.
